Blues studies agree that lyrics are often taken at face value. But here we're dealing with the obvious: everyone's common aspiration to break free from their condition and find a personal and gratifying path. Even if I never thought that my modest "ruine-babine" would serve such a purpose, I must honestly admit that all the encounters that have shaped my life have come about more or less directly thanks to Marine Band 1896/20.
