She is the co-founder of the Prelinger Library in San Francisco and author of Another Science Fiction: Advertising the Space Race 1957–1962 and Inside the Machine: Art and Invention in the Electronic Age. Joel Schalit is a writer and editor based in San Francisco. An Israeli-American pundit noted for his unique views on Middle Eastern politics and US culture, over the past fourteen years, Schalit has produced four books and contributed to numerous periodicals including Alternet, France 24's The Observers, the San Francisco Bay Guardian and XLR8R.
