Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hande Girard earned her Ph.D. with High Honors from École Centrale Paris in 2012. Since 2007, she has been actively involved as a researcher and coordinator in various national and international aerospace and defense projects. Dr. Girard has authored numerous scientific papers published in journals and presented at conferences, focusing on aerospace, mechanics, and materials. She holds certifications in Project Management for Aerospace Professionals and Aerospace Applications of Systems Engineering from the University of Kansas (2013), and in Data Science from Booz Allen (2015). Additionally, she serves as a referee for scientific journals such as Soft Computing, Steel and Composite Structures¿ An International Journal, and Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology.
Her research interests encompass structural materials, multifunctional composite structures, and material characterization. Currently, Dr. Girard is an Associate Professor of Aerospace Engineering at OST¿M Technical University. She is a member of the European Structural Integrity Society, GDR "Graphene and Nanotubes" (GNT), Groupement des Centraliens de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace, Association de l'École Centrale Paris, and Centrale au Féminin.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Durdu Hakan Utku received his M.S. degree from Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey) and his Ph.D. from Gazi University (Ankara, Turkey), both in industrial engineering. He obtained certificates in systems engineering from the Systems Management Sciences Department of the Turkish
Military Academy in 1998 and in Foreign Trade from the Turkish Foreign Trade Foundation in 2015.
His research interests include production planning and control, supply chain management, NG and LNG supply chain design/management, systems simulation, and the design and analysis of experiments. Currently, he works as an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at the Turkish Aeronautical Association University.
