Mouloud Feraoun's Le Fils du pauvre (The Poor Man's Son) is a cornerstone of French-language Algerian literature. Mehenni AKBAL is Professor of Library Science and Archives at the University of Algiers 2 (Bouzaréah Campus). Alongside his research into Algerian archives in colonial France and the development of library science, he has a particular interest in the writer Mouloud Feraoun.
