Narrative Story Completion Methodologies - Research Approaches Across the Lifespan

The volume explores the use of narrative story completion methodologies, a story-based research approach used to deepen our understanding of human development across the lifespan. The methods involve asking participants to complete stories with challenging or evocative themes. Participants' responses allow access into individuals' internal worlds, expose the social processes through which meaning is made of experiences, and reveal how individuals organize those experiences. Importantly, narrative story completion methods reveal truths and uncover processes where traditional interview methods fall short.
