Velvet mi amor è il viaggio che i designer Stefano e Corinna Chiassai intraprendono attorno al tessuto nobile per eccellenza, il velluto, per renderlo più moderno e attuale ma soprattutto ripensarlo alla radice.
I Chiassai hanno profuso a piene mani il proprio know-how artistico e tecnologico in una modernissima versione del trompe-l'oeil : effetti e tecniche che oltre a rielaborarlo danno l'illusione del velluto ma in realtà sono altro. Lo hanno chiamato « effetto velluto », applicandolo su tutta la gamma dei tessuti.
Una rivoluzione insomma, in piena linea con una società i cui codici sono ormai quotidianamente innovati e non solo nell'abbigliamento.
Velvet mi amor is a journey that fashion designers Stefano and Corinna Chiassai undertake around the noble textile par excellence, velvet, to render it more modern and of-the-moment but above all to rethink it at its root.
The Chiassais have poured all their artistic and technological know-how into a super-modern version of trompe l'oeil : effects and techniques that, in addition to reworking it, give the illusion of velvet but are actually something else. They call it the « velvet effect », applying it to the entire range of fabrics.
In short, a revolution, fully in line with a society whose codes are innovated daily and not just in apparel.
