Texte suppl.

This book is an important read at a time when federal and state resources are expanding community violence intervention work; self-help groups may not be on the radar of government agencies or funding entities...The evidence Melvin marshals draws a critical reflection of how Black and Latinx lives are valued, and his analysis is an important contribution to scholarship and advocacy efforts to advance neighborhood safety.
