The planning of projects in a monastic environment is subject to special conditions: the tools of project management must take into account not only the financial possibilities but also the structures of the respective communities as well as the local and monastic conditions. At the same time, there is often little experience in planning and implementing projects in monasteries.

Prof. Dr Erwin Hettich studied International Business Administration in Tübingen, San Francisco and Moscow. He is Assistant Professor for Strategic Management at the University of St. Gallen and, with more than 10 years of industrial experience, accompanies start-ups and established companies in strategy development.Br. Dr Ansgar Stüfe OSB directed the large mission hospital of Peramiho Abbey in Tanzania for 16 years and then supervised the worldwide projects of the Missionary Benedictines as procurator.
