Retinal diseases are those diseases that affect the light-sensitive tissue found in the back side of the eye. There are various common retinal diseases and conditions, such as macular hole, retinal tear, epiretinal membrane, retinitis pigmentosa, retinal detachment, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Several retinal diseases have some symptoms in common, which include distorted or blurred vision, lost vision, seeing floating specks or cobwebs, and defects in side vision.
