During my trips to Cayastacito, as a result of having been commissioned to repair the chapel in 2006, I had the opportunity to see and appreciate the buildings that characterize the town, many of them are preserved in their original forms, which motivated me to write this work. It is the product of a long time of research work, as well as the synthesis of different journalistic articles published in various written media of the city and region. The town has a variety of buildings of real value that, over time, have been defining the urban landscape that characterizes it today and gives it a particular identity that deserves to be preserved. The absence of a survey of works, as well as of a legal framework for their protection, led me to be interested in starting to develop a work that is mainly oriented to the knowledge and valuation by the population of the architectural heritage existing in the town. In short, all these factors combined to make it possible to develop a work that would help the community in general to know about the built heritage.

Horacio René Ayala, architecte, est entré à la faculté d'architecture de l'université nationale de Litoral, où il a obtenu le titre d'architecte, et a suivi un cours de troisième cycle en gestion urbaine municipale et communale à la faculté d'architecture de l'université nationale de Litoral.
