The four

Livre for the years 1587-1602 describe the fortunes of the German Nation and the University and offer a unique look at the role of Orleans and its graduates in the religious wars and the growing confessionalisation of Europe.

Cornelia M. Ridderikhoff, Ph.D. (1981) University of Leiden, main editor of the
Textes des rapports of the Premier, Deuxième et Troisième Livre des procurateurs de la nation germanique de l'Université d'Orléans (Brill 1971, 1988, 2013). She also participated in the redaction and edition of the Briefwisseling (correspondance) of Hugo Grotius (RGP, The Hague 1985-2001).
Hilde de Ridder-Symoens, Ph.D. (1969) Ghent University, collaborator of the
Premier et Troisième Livre des procurateurs de la nation germanique de l'Université d'Orléans (Brill 1971, 2013). Em. professor in medieval and early modern history at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Universiteit Gent. She has published on university history and schooling in Europe and especially the Low Countries.
