The entire economic life is increasingly using digital technologies to become more efficient and profitable. With the Digitalization Directive (Directive (EU) 2019/1151) as regards the use of digital tools and processes in company law, corporate law is becoming more digital. In addition to the improved online communication between the actors and registers of the different member states of the EU, the heart of the modernization is the new possibility to found closed corporations digital and cross-border. The handbook offers a comprehensive overview of the dogmatic and technical aspects of online incorporation and deals with the implementation of the directive in most member states in over 20 country by country reports. The country reports, which are written by experienced scientists and practitioners from the respective member states, offer a guide for science, law in practice and entrepreneurs.
