The intervention of the social worker - Interdiscipline as cooperative interaction

The attention of the professional demand from a rigid institutional space such as the hospital environment, faces health professionals to the challenge of having to offer quality and efficiency in their work. The user population of these services is increasing in number and complexity every day. This, in turn, forces us to reflect and rethink the forms of intervention. For a specific field such as Social Work, this refers to the current debate on the specificity of the profession and questions its legitimacy.The understanding of the social from a multidimensional and complex perspective, resizes the existing historical relationships between discipline and interdiscipline, giving this relationship a new logic that reunified in the intervention, will function as a non-contradictory operational duality.Interdiscipline understood as cooperative interaction between disciplines responds to this problem.
