The study critically explores the framing of Gweru City Council's service delivery in the Chronicle newspaper from 2013 to 2016. This study also investigates whether the framing of Gweru City Council in the Chronicle newspaper is a deliberate front to justify any act of terror on the Morgan Tsvangirai led Movement for Democratic Change-Tsvangirai (MDC-T) local authority. The study also investigates the editorial slant taken by the Chronicle in covering matters of Gweru City Council's service delivery. This study critically examines the frequency of negativity associated with Gweru City Council and finds out if the Chronicle is being used to attack counter hegemonic ideologies. The study also sought to find out whether framing of news creates lasting impressions and critically analyse whether there are any elements of exaggeration or misrepresentation of facts by the Chronicle on the coverage of Gweru City Council's service delivery. The nexus of the study was to find out how the Chronicle newspaper is framing Gweru City Council's service. I used triangulation to arrive at research findings.
