The most important contribution to date in the literature is the analysis by Ungley and Suzman in 1929 of their 61 cases of pernicious anaemia, of which 30 developed subacute combined _degeneration of the Spinal cord. Five deaths occurred in four years. Their results were obtained by using -2 lbs. Of liver per week, amounts which were not used by other workers, nor have been up to the present time ex cept in certain cent-res.
