Excerpt from Über die Deutschen Namen der Ältesten Freisinger Urkunden: Ein Beitrag zur Geschichte der Althochdeutschen Sprache in Bayern
Daraus erhellt, dass Cozroh die Handschrift erst be gonnen hat, nachdem er von Hitto zum Priester gemacht war. In den Urkunden begegnet er in den Jahren 822 und 823 noch als Diaconus, im Jahre 824 finde ich ihn dreimal (mchb. N. 456, 462, 466) als Priester Er hat mithin an der Handschrift nicht von 810 bis 848, sondern nur von 824 bis 848 geschrieben.
