This book is not necessarily about people who are famous, wealthy or have celebrity status. This is about people who grew up on the Cape Flats and are living fairly stable lives. The common thread will be the stories of individuals who have endured challenges and have had to overcome them on their journey to where they are today. Still today, the GIANTS are real to children. These stories, written, will resonate with young people on the Cape Flats and those around the world. Life lessons will be learnt as children and young people read this book. Young people do not all aspire to become soccer or film stars, and this is the reason why this book will focus on people from various disciplines. The Giants in this book come from Manenberg, Hanover Park, Heideveld, and Bishop Lavis and all over the Cape Flats. The journey on the Cape Flats, can start at one place, but it seldom ends there.
