A NIGHTMARE WITH NO ESCAPE
Jonathan Childes is fleeing from the terrors of his past, horrors that broke up his marriage and led him to leave his child behind and eventually find refuge on an island. And for a time he lives in peace – until the ‘sightings’ begin, visions of horror seeping into his mind at night, violent acts so hideously macabre they overwhelm his thoughts.
Jonathan knows he is witnessing the grotesque acts of a monster that glories in murder and mutilation. But even he cannot prepare himself for the true horror of a creature, now aware of the observer in its mind, who will come to the island to hunt down Childes . . .
‘Guaranteed to give you nightmares’ Daily Mail

‘Building to a horrific climax, it’s James Herbert’s best book yet. But do not read it alone . . . especially on a moonlit night’ Daily Mirror
