Je suis un zèbre

« C'est quoi un surdoué ? C'est quelqu'un dont le cerveau pense différemment. Pas plus intelligent. Pas plus bête. Juste différent. »

Depuis toute petite, Tiana tourne en rond dans son enclos de questionnements et d'angoisses étranges. Au collège, elle souffre de se sentir différente. « À l'adolescence, on veut juste être normal. » Elle devient l'objet de moqueries et de brimades. Alors qu'elle était une excellente élève, elle décroche scolairement, sombre dans la dépression et est hospitalisée. À tout juste treize ans. Les médecins, désorientés, la traitent un temps pour schizophrénie. Jusqu'au diagnostic qui la sauve : enfant précoce. Ou plutôt zèbre. Tiana préfère. Ce qui change tout pour elle, c'est la reconnaissance de ses forces et fragilités si caractéristiques des surdoués : acuité d'esprit, hypersensibilité, décalage. Petit à petit, Tiana va se libérer, s'apprivoiser, se réconcilier avec elle- même et avec les autres.
