En las eras llamadas de Amaniel mandó el rey D.. Felipe IV que se tomascn los terrenºs suficientes para construir un monas terio, y que le habitasen las señºras religiºsas de la órden militar de Santiago, levantándole con la pingiie hacienda que dejaron don Franciscº Cºntreras y su esposa. Las primeras religiºsas vinieron del cºnvento de Santa Cruz de Valladolid tomando posesion del patrºnato, segun real cédula, lºs presidentes del Consejº de Cas tilla y órdenes.
