The book is an attempt to study the important provisions regarding right to primary education and free and compulsory education for all between age group of 6-14 year as provided in part-III fundamental rights and part IV of directive principles of state policy as well as the legislation for Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 with certain objectives, they are.. i) To understand the human rights in general and right to education as a basic human value and right in particular. ii) To estimate the present government role regarding Right to Education in general and free and compulsory primary education in particular after 21A was inserted in the Constitution of India and to understand role played by government in order to achieve this social goal for overall development of a human being. iii) To understand the role played by Judiciary in implementing Right to Education in India, especially in Andhra Pradesh

Dr. Suresh Payasam is a Faculty in Department of Law, Andhra University. He completed his Ph.D. on Right to Education. He pursued M.A. and B.L. from Andhra University. He has eight years teaching experience. He has a number of publications to his credit and presented many papers in various National and International seminars.
