En savoir plus
The results of the study of the distribution, activity, and isozyme diversity of the main hydrolytic enzymes (proteases, amylases, esterases, lipases, and phosphatases) in various glandular structures of the digestive system of the Black Sea Rapana venosa are presented. The activity and spectrum of enzymes of the mollusk digestive system have been compared at different stages of the life cycle: during the summer and autumnal period of active life and at the stage of winter rest. Methods of electrophoretic study of enzymes and subsequent analysis of zymograms are described in detail. Possible mechanisms of genetic control of hydrolytic enzymes in various glands of the Rapana digestive system are considered. The book will be interesting to a wide readership involved in studying physiology, biochemistry, and genetics of mollusks and invasive objects in particular; as well as to students, post-graduate students, and professionals
