This text explores the current theories related to gender development and racial identity development and their impact on the formation and expression of Black masculinity. Specifically, this text investigates the intersection between Black masculinity development, racial identity, and race-related traumas/stressors. Out of K.O.S. Steven Kniffley Jr. is Assistant Professor in the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University. He is a Board Certified clinical psychologist.
Ernest Brown Jr. is currently a third-year doctoral student in the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University. He is a recipient of the American Psychological Association Minority Fellowship.
Bryan Davis is currently a third-year doctoral student in the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University. His area of research involves exploring the development of gender identity in males across different cultural backgrounds.
