In Sicilia, tra architettura e bellezza

Noi siamo quello in cui crediamo e in cui ci dibattiamo con spirito di servizio; perché il domani si coniughi col passato e diventi il futuro dei nostri figli e dei nostri nipoti. Il movimento culturale per il riuso architettonico ora è diventato una spinta per l'economia. I recenti fatti tellurici che si sono manifestati nel cuore produttivo del nostro Paese ne sollecitano l'attualità e responsabilità di chi opera sia nel pubblico che nel privato. Lo scritto tratta questo tema architettonico che ha come scopo la divulgazione anche nelle scuole e nello spirito di servizio che ci contraddistingue nel nostro operato a servizio della collettività. Il libretto è sintetico, è scritto da una un architetto ed è presentato da un vecchio sostenitore del riuso, ingegnere progettista. Quale migliore occasione per coniugare lo spirito che ci lega? Il futuro dell'urbanistica, del riuso e del verde, sono questi i concetti fondanti del nuovo progettare, del nuovo agire, sicuro che questa mia iniziativa che non grava su nessun bilancio della civile società ma che ne aumenta il prestigio e il peso culturale, guardando da un nuovo punto di osservazione che ne cambia la prospettiva. L'architettura deve cercare le costanti eterne al di là delle contingenze, ma per riuscirvi non deve lasciarsi scoraggiare. Nella convinzione che l'architettura è un'arte e come tale va professata, amata ed esercitata.

Becoming a father is one of most common but also one of the most profoundly life-altering experiences a man can have. It is up there with puberty, falling in love and experiencing your first loss.
