Aso is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is a vibrant litigator and writer. He has worked with Streamsowers & Köhn, and Unicorn Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited. He is also the co-founder and Managing Partner of Calmhill Partners, a Lagos based law firm.He is married with children and lives in Lagos, Nigeria
