This book is on the author's long search for the Yeti, the mythical mountain man long thought to inhabit the Himalayas. It describes in detail the discovery that giant human-like footprints are made by a previously unknown subspecies of bear and then the even more ambitious project, the creation of two national parks around Mt Everest for the protection of the endangered bear.

Daniel C. Taylor is currently President, Future Generations University, having also started the global family of seven Future Generations organizations.He has his master’s and doctoral degrees from Harvard University. In recognition of his conservation work he was knighted Gorkha Dakshin Bau III by the King of Nepal, made Honorary Professor of Quantitative Ecology by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and decorated with the Order of the Golden Arc by Prince Bernhard of The Netherlands.
