Wenn ich hier von der Wahrheit spreche, so meine ich selbstverständlich in erster Linie die wissenschaftliche Wahrheit; aber ich meine auch die moralische Wahr heit, von der das, was man Gerechtigkeit nennt, nur eine Seite ist. Es mag scheinen, als ob ich mit Worten spiele, als ob ich unter einem Namen zwei Dinge vereinige, die nichts Gemeinsames haben; daß die wissenschaftliche Wahrheit, die man beweisen kann, in keiner Weise der moralischen Wahrheit gleicht, die man fühlen muß.
