Differences Between Native American Indians and Non-Indians

In this collection of essays emanating from the Southern Ute Indian Community Safety Survey, differences in attitudes and behaviors between Native American Indians and non-Indians are examined. Significant differences in attitudes and behaviors were found between the two ethnic and cultural groups. Culture, it was further found, plays a significant role in these differences. Julie C. Abril received her PhD in Criminology, Law and Society from the University of California in 2005. She has published widely in the areas of crime and violence, victimization, prisoner issues, identity, and on concerns of women and Native American Indians. She has authored four other books on Native American Indians and crime.
