This book explores the theory, doctrine and practice of constitutionalism which have been hampered due to the influence of partisan politics in most countries of world. Most analysts attribute the growing number of dictatorial and autocratic regimes in most countries due to weak constitutionalism and constitutional law. Many political experts argue that the type of political system have a huge influence on theory, doctrine and practice of constitutionalism in many countries. For example, for some countries a theory, doctrine and practice of constitutionalism is further compromised by weak institutions and organs of government. However, the experience of democracy and good governance has been a major force towards the process of constitutionalism in most regions of the world. It is evident that most regions of world have undergone a total transformation of constitutionalism due to a movement in democracy and good governance. A number of the countries are still under oppressive and autocratic regimes which fail to respect good tents of constitutionalism. The book builds on a theory, doctrine and practice of constitutionalism towards democracy and good governance in most nations.
