Linda Seger has encouraged the empowerment and appreciation of women's wisdom for most of her life. Her mother, Agnes Katherine Graebner Seger, was the most magnificent woman she ever met - a mother who nurtured and supported her pursuit and love of drama, creativity, and theology. Linda has three M.A.s including one in Feminist Theology, and a Th.D. in drama and theology. She founded the script consulting profession and is considered one of the foremost script consultants in the world. She has lectured in over 30 countries and is the author of 13 book, 4 on spirituality and 9 on writing and film, including When Women Call the Shots: the Developing Power and Influence of Women in Television and Film. Linda received the Moondance Women's Film Festivals Living Legacy Award for her work in support of women in the entertainment industry.

Did you ever wish you'd written down the words of wisdom from your mother? Do you sometimes hear those words in your head when you're facing a problem, working on a relationship, or making an important decision? Many of us who had great mothers have lived by their wisdom for all of our lives. Their little sayings and sound bites echo in our ears and guide us in our choices, our demeanor, and when we're trying to figure out the meaning of the world! Many of the quotations in this book come from the author's mother, Agnes Katherine Graebner Seger, who had wisdom and an intrinsic ability to assess and analyze a situation. She was positive, supportive, and encouraging. The author then collected sayings from other magnificent mothers. All the sayings are original to each of these mothers. Each topic in the book is illustrated by Colorado artist, Linda Crawford.

Publicity and Advertising

Linda intends to pursue a variety of marketing efforts. She’ll choose phrases from the book and elaborate on them with stories from her life and others she has met along the way, including film producers, other authors, and people who have influenced her over the years. For example, one such phrase she can talk about from the book is: “Don’t be a watcher, be a doer.” Efforts will include:



• Blogging and advertising on Goodreads

• Will start with offering guest blog posts to the following: A Nation of Moms, A bloggy Mom, Moms Network, Work it, Mom!, The Better Mom, Women Enough, Faithful Bloggers, and Plaid for Women – Linda is regularly featured on this site’s blog

• Submission of articles to: Country magazine, For Her magazine, Western Friend magazine, and others to be explored, including faith-based publications

• Book giveaways on Goodreads and Amazon, to include advanced copy readers prior to release and signed books after release

• Working with libraries for book signing opportunities, including those in Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, and Denver

• Blogging on her spirituality website: Linda Seger

• A listing in the Ingram Catalog, distributed to 220 countries and territories

• Running advertisements, articles, and professional reviews with the Book Club Network each month, which reaches over 500,000 people. Linda will also be featured in chat rooms and discussions and will be featured on the cover of Book Fun magazine in March 2017.

• Speeches at churches in Denver and Colorado Springs, perhaps other churches in cities where she's giving seminars or other cities in Colorado.

• Radio spots on shows across the nation

Linda has a marketing team working with her to maximize exposure with social media, in the media nationally and internationally, with churches and other groups, and on the Internet. The team will also be working on getting the book into Christian bookstores and mainstream bookstores.

Linda travels throughout the world for business and will be seeking opportunities to speak about What Our Mamas Taught Us.

Possible groups that Linda will reach out to for speaking engagements:

• Spouses groups on military bases in the Colorado area

• Young professional groups

• College students, including students at Colorado College, Pikes Peak Community College, and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs

Linda has previously taken full advantage of social media to promote her screenwriting and spiritual books. Linda will use the following sites to promote What Our Mamas Taught Us:
