An exciting historical thriller drawing on little-known events of William Shakespeare's early life. Young Will Shakespeare knows that his family's existence hangs by a thread. His father's business often struggles, and his mother insists on practising the old faith, which isn't a popular choice any more. Will jumps at the chance to leave the oppressive atmosphere of home and join a troupe of players, but he finds that it's not so easy to escape the ghosts of his past.

A propos de l'auteur

Tony Bradman started working life in the music press. In 1979 he joined Parents magazine where he launched their highly successful children’s book pages and, in 1985, the Best Books For Babies Award. He went freelance as a children’s author in 1987 and by 1992 was among the top 20 children’s authors borrowed from UK public libraries.

Tom Morgan Jones is an award-winning illustrator. His work is widely and internationally published, and includes everything from illustrating children’s books and buses, to magazine design and satirical board games.
