Stockport

This volume covers Stockport town centre, Vernon Park, Portwood and Brinnington, Tiviot Dale and Lancashire Hill, the Heatons and Edgeley, Cale Green and Davenport, taking in the sights and scenes and highlighting points of note. The reader will encounter townscapes, streets and buildings such as pubs, cinemas and shops many of which have now disappeared, as well as some of the people who lived here. These images from the last hundred years or so will re-awaken memories among older residents, while showin the younger and newer residents the face of the town as it used to be.
