Liverpool in the 1970s

The Reds, led by the legendary Bill Shankly, started out on almost a decade's run of success when they claimed the UEFA Cup in 1972/73, followed by the FA Cup again in 1973/74. Shankly then surprisingly called it a day, handing over the managerial role to his right-hand man Bob Paisley. They continued their success, winning league championships and the European Cup throughout the decade.
