Pulpal therapy in primary dentition

Endodontic treatment of primary teeth helps their existence in the dental arch until the period of the physiological exchange. The method of pulpectomy, as a radical approach, ensures a greater longevity of the tooth in the mouth. Besides the traditional paste of Zinc Oxide Eugenole, there were used three other pastes: Kri , Metapex and Endoflas for filling the canals of primary teeth.The most succesful paste and the one with less complications of near or far , resulted to be Endoflas. Endoflas consists of all the elements and ingredients ( ZnO , Ca(OH)2 , Jodoform ) of other pastes. This paste best fulfilled the requirements that,the materials used for the filling of the root canals of primary teeth, must meet.

Phd MANOLA KELMENDI graduated from the Faculty of Medicine,in Dentistry in 1989.In 1990 she was appointed as a doctor at the Universitary Dental Clinic , Speciality of Pediatric Dentistry.She works also as a pedagogue at the Departament of Therapy.In 2015 she was elected as the President of the Albanian Association of Pediatric Dentistry.
