To learn means to excel. It is a never ending process. Through learning, anyone can develop himself or herself continuously. Human Resource is the means through which organizations learn. The will to learn by everyone and to share once knowledge with the other helps to establish a strong competitive advantage in any organizational setting. For this to happen; an environment that nurtures the learning process should be availed to all employees in an organization. Learning should be made the culture. This book mainly assesses the learning environment of private banks in Ethiopia using the major building blocks of the learning organization developed by Garvin. These are: supportive learning environment, concrete learning process, and leadership that reinforce learning. This work is very useful for individuals that work in areas of organizational development, organizational culture, and strategists. Furthermore, it is important for anyone who is considering further research in the area.
