Peas optimizingly radiated to prolong their shelf life - Gamma irradiated peas with enhanced shelf life and reduced microflora

Radiation technology has proved to be a well established process of controlling several pathogenic microorganisms present on different food items. In this book, information and procedure of peas sterilization by using the gamma radiations has mentioned. Gamma radiations are widely been used for sterility. Radiated peas showed enhanced shelf life and reduced microbial load. Due to radiation control system, peas become safer and healthier for human consumption.

A propos de l'auteur

Mehak Shakir has done BS(hons)in Biotechnology and performed research work during her four year honors degree program from Lahore College for Women University, Lahore, Pakistan. She did research on enhancing the shelf life of peas by applying optimized gamma radiations. As a result of which, microbial load has also been reduced.
