Nancy Holder hat in den USA bereits über sechzig Bücher und weit mehr als zweihundert Kurzgeschichten veröffentlicht. Für ihre Romane wurde ihr viermal der Bram-Stoker-Award für den besten Mystery-Roman des Jahres verliehen, und sie wurden bereits in über zwanzig Sprachen übersetzt.
