Axel Honneth is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Konstanz. Thomas McCarthy is John Schaffer Professor in the Humanities at Northwestern University and the editor of the MIT Press series Studies in Contemporary German Social Thought. Claus Offe has researched and lectured widely throughout Europe and North America and is Professor in the Faculty of Sociology at the University of Bielefeld. Albrecht Wellmer is Professor of Philosophy at the Free University of Berlin.
