Informationen zum Autor Zitkala-Sa (1876-1938), whose name means Red Bird, was a Sioux writer, editor, teacher, musician, and activist. A prominent advocate for Native American rights throughout her life, she was a key figure in the legislation that granted Native Americans citizenship in 1924.
