David Sadava unterrichtet an den Claremont Colleges in Kalifornien.
Die Insektenforscherin May R. Berenbaum leitet die Abteilung für Entomologie an der University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Seit 1994 ist sie Mitglied der National Academy of Sciences der USA. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind die chemischen Wechselwirkungen zwischen pflanzenfressenden Insekten und ihren Wirtspflanzen sowie die ökologische und evolutionäre Bedeutung dieser Wechselwirkungen. Berenbaum organisiert alljährlich das "Fear of Insects Film Festival" (2004 läuft das 21. Festival).
