Informationen zum Autor Andrew Hopper is Lecturer in English Local History at the Centre for English Local History, University of Leicester. He completed his PhD on parliamentarian allegiance in Yorkshire at the University of York in 1999. From 2000–3, he was the project researcher for the Virtual Norfolk Project at the University of East Anglia. From 2003–6, Dr Hopper was an AHRC postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Birmingham, working with Professor Richard Cust on the High Court of Chivalry during the 1630s. In 2006 he was appointed as a 'new blood' lecturer in English Local History at the University of Leicester. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and winner of the Yorkshire History Prize, 1995.
