  Joseph Arthur nous avait habitué à mieux. Cet album est malheureusement très pop!
  Hormis "stumble and pain", "echo park", "a smile that explodes" et "leave us alone" qui sont très bien le reste est médiocre...

  joseph arthur is the best!! come to where i´m from is the best album ever. i also like the junkyard hearts 1-4... a shame they can´t be bought...

  Ich würde 'come to where i'm from' empfehlen. Das ist meiner Meinung nach die beste Platte von Joseph Arthur. War auch mein Einstieg in die Abhängigkeit von diesem Ausnahme-Singer / Songwriter. 'in the sun' ist immer noch sein bester Song, aber auch 'chemical' oder 'ashes everywhere' sind wunderbar.

• Gute Songs von Joseph!

  Auch ich habe bis vor dem R.E.M.-Konzert fast nichts vom Amerikaner Joseph Arthur gewusst. Dabei hat er schon einige CD's herausgebracht mit sehr guten Songs. Auf seiner aktuellen Scheibe gefällt mir vor allem "Can't Exist", "Echo Park", "Even Tho" und "Wasted". Es stimmt schon, dass die Songs live viel besser rüberkommen und mehr Power haben. Jedenfalls hat er alleine mit seinen technischen Hilfsmitteln eine sehr gute Show gezeigt! Es ist zu hoffen, dass Joseph Arthur auch bei uns in Europa den Durchbruch schafft. Er hätte es auf jeden Fall verdient!

  Obwohl ich im Singer-Songwriter-Bereich heimisch bin, war mir Joseph Arthur bis heute vor einer Woche gänzlich unbekannt. Als Vorprogramm von R.E.M. in Basel hat er mich absolut begeistert, besonders seine eindringliche Stimme hat mich umgehauen. Tags darauf marschierte ich frohen Mutes in einen CD-Laden und hörte mir "Our Shadows Will Remain" und "Redemption's Son" an. Masslos enttäuscht und ohne etwas gekauft zu haben verliess ich das Geschäft wieder: Seine Stimme kommt auf CD völlig nicht rüber und auch die Arrangements sind ziemlich "Bubblegum"-ig. Kann mir jemand sagen, was ich falsch gemacht habe und wie ich zu retten wäre? Danke!

  Die EP mit Bonusmaterial zu 'Our Shadows Will Remain' heisst 'And The Thieves Are Gone'. Gefällt mir noch besser als das reguläre Album. Tracklist: Papa, My Home Is Your Head, Savior Of The Sun, Real As Rain, Anywhere With You, Glass Pipe.

  im web kann man unter fingerprints.c0m diese neue CD von Joseph Arthur kaufen. mit dabei ist eine live-cd mit 9 songs! live-tracks: Tattoo, In the Sun, Redemption's Son, Ashes Everywhere, I Donated Myself to the Mexican Army, This Heart Will Swallow Us, Exhausted, Crackerjack box, Speed of Light. überhaupt haben die ein paar nette specials auf lager - unter anderem auch eine ep mit unveröffentlichtem material aus den 'our shadows will remain'-sessions.
