Ein Muss für Dermatologen - eine Herausforderung für alle die es werden wollen. Mit dem aktuell erschienenen englischen Titel "Hair Loss Disorders in Domestic Animals" liegt ein neues dermatologisches Werk für den internationalen Markt vor und der Markt wird staunen. Der erste Überblick überzeugt durch seine klare Struktur: hair follicle biology, how to approach alopecic diseases, non inflammatory alopecias, inflammatory alopecias. Naturgemäß stehen Hund und Katze im Vordergrund, aber auch landwirtschaftliche Nutztiere werden themenspezifisch hochqualifiziert betreut. In speziellen Kapiteln (z. B. Comparison of hair follicles) werden Labortierspezialitäten mit denen des Menschen verglichen. Der Dermatologe beginnt zu schwärmen ? aber auch der praktizierende Tierarzt im Berufsalltag zwischen Hundeimpfung und Katzendurchfallbehandlung kommt keinesfalls zu kurz: Das Kapitel Canine pattern alopecia von Manon Paradis und weiter fortgeführt von Rosario Cerundolo serviert bestens bebilderten und beschriebenen Praxisalltag.
