Jorge Marx Gómez
is Full Professor and Chair of Business Information Systems at Carl von Ossietzky University, Oldenburg, Germany. He is the Director of the Research Center for Transformations of Sustainable Futures (TRUST@UOL) at Oldenburg University and board member of the Energy Group at OFFIS-Institute (Oldenburg). Furthermore, he is the German deputy speaker of the working group Environmental Management Information Systems in the GI (Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V.) association, as well as a board member of the Oldenburg Center for Sustainability Economics and Management – CENTOS (Oldenburg University). His research interests include very large business applications, business information systems, federated ERP systems, business intelligence, data warehousing, interoperability, and environmental management information systems.
Roopesh Kevin Sungkur
is Associate Professor at the Department of Software and Information Systems, Faculty of Information Communication and Digital Technologies, University of Mauritius. He has a PhD in Information Systems and Technology from UKZN, Durban, South Africa. He has been acting as consultant for organizations such as the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Southern African Development Community (SADC), Commonwealth of Learning (COL), African Development Bank (ADB) and MasterCard Foundation (MCF). His research interests focus on information systems, technology enhanced learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain and computing. He has been working on a number of research projects, nationally and internationally that aims at promoting the use of ICT in everyday life and has also been involved in projects with the DAAD, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Commonwealth Secretariat and EU-funded projects (Erasmus+ CBHE and Erasmus+ KA 171).
Sameerchand Pudaruth
is Associate Professor in the ICT Department, Faculty of Information, Communication & Digital Technologies at the University of Mauritius. He has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (AI) from the University of Mauritius and an LLB from the University of London., UK. He is a senior member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and ACM (Associate of Computing Machinery), and of BCS (British Computer Society) and IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology). His research interests focus on artificial intelligence, GenAI, machine learning, data science, machine translation, computer Vision, robotics, mobile applications, Web technologies, multimedia, blockchain, AI in education, and information technology law.
Jan-Hendrik Witte
has been a research associate in the Department Very Large Business Applications (VLBA) at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg (Germany) since 2020. His work primarily focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in various domains, with a strong emphasis on the agricultural and construction sectors. Jan-Hendrik has contributed to several other AI-driven projects, such as to the project Kalkulation.KI, a research project in collaboration with the Strabag AG, which focuses on automating the bid preparation and cost estimation processes for construction projects using Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Gerrit Schumann
is a researcher in the Department of Business Information Systems (Very Large Business Applications) at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg(Germany). His research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP) and federated learning, which he investigated in various studies and research projects: As part of a three-year research collaboration with the audit department of a leading global automotive manufacturer, he developed various methods and techniques for identifying inconsistencies and manipulations in business documents using NLP.
