In the era of journalistic convergence, television newsrooms are still undergoing various processes of transformation. Focusing this issue on television journalists, there is a growing trend for them to perform functions/tasks that until recently were carried out by other television information professionals. This functional aggregation is particularly evident in the editing of television news content. In this context, based on a doctoral thesis, this book aims, in general terms, to ascertain and understand the causes and consequences of television journalists themselves editing the images of news content broadcast on television. To this end, empirical research was carried out, focusing on the central newsrooms of SIC and TVI.
