The business climate requires solid judicial security, which is difficult to guarantee in many Third World countries. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, many investors are reluctant to get involved, fearing a lack of justice, often characterized by slow procedures, corruption, high legal costs and a lack of predictability.Faced with these challenges, an alternative is needed: *mediation* . Fast, confidential, conciliatory and less costly, it is perfectly suited to the requirements of a business-friendly environment. To this end, the OHADA Uniform Act on Mediation provides an effective mechanism for settling commercial disputes. The DRC, as a member state of OHADA, should take full advantage of this tool to offer a more attractive and secure framework for investments, and thus sustainably improve its business climate.
