Seventy years after its first publication, this reissue provides a unique opportunity to rediscover a major work of Henri Cartier-Bresson's oeuvre, enriched with an unpublished text by Clément Chéroux that places the work in its historical and artistic context.
Über den Autor / die Autorin
Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004) brought a new aesthetic and practice to photography, initiated modern photojournalism, and co-founded Magnum Photos. In 2003, with his wife and daughter, he created Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson in Paris for the preservation of his work.
Clément Chéroux is the Director of the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson.
