The author 
Rhonda Marcia Brown, DVM, is currently working as a HVHQ S/N veterinary surgeon at People for Animals in Robbinsville, New Jersey/Burlington County, USA, and is the founder of DearDVM: The PetportGenius, a mobile pet travel clinic specializing in veterinary travel medicine, serving the New Jersey and Pennsylvania regions. With more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice and animal welfare, she has worked in private practice, emergency and critical care, community and shelter medicine, including leading as medical director of a municipal animal shelter as its first in-house veterinary medical department.
