Bac Hoai Tran has taught Vietnamese at U.C. Berkeley for over three decades. He has served as the Vietnamese coordinator for the Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 2000, and has written many textbooks, phrasebooks and dictionaries for beginning learners of Vietnamese.
