Born in Slovenia, Jože Mlinari¿ knew he was a writer from the age of eight. That was when he started writing his first novel, a rather adult story about pregnancy problems in a young family. He didn't finish the novel. While at school, he wrote some poems but put off serious work until later when he had more experience of life. The first novel was written after his stay in Cyprus in 2000, the second, Angels Cry Too, in 2013 and already published by Austin Macauley, The Last Man in 2022. He tried to get his novels published, but without success, until the year 2022, when he met the publisher in England.
